Monkey Joe's!

Dear Sammy,
You are so much fun, you know that?! We took you to Monkey Joe's this weekend and you laughed and giggled the entire time. You were jumping around in the blow up castles, sliding down slides and running around yelling jibberish. It was so worth it to take you there, just to see you enjoy it so much. You're such a people person. You actually walked up to some lady and hugged her butt.. hahaha i dont know if you thought it was me.. i hope not, because she was rather large.. but it was still hilarious :)
Every day gets more and more fun with you, and I enjoy every second. I used to want you to stay little forever, but Im learning to enjoy the time and the age that you are in this moment. Its exciting to watch you learn new words, and do new things... One of your favorite new things is my new keyboard. You are obsessed with banging on it. I dont mind until its right after eating a go-gurt, then you get my keyboard all slimey :) haha. But Im hoping this means you will be a music lover and learn to play instruments and sing. But if not and you cant carry a tune in a bucket and you want to play basketball or tennis, thats fine too. Just not football. I already told daddy and your grandma, NO way on that. I dont want you to get hurt :( Mommy is a weirdo.

Have I told you lately how much I love you? You're the best thing that has ever happened to me. I'll tell you that every day until you say it in your sleep. :)

Funny/ Cute things Samuel is doing at 14 months old:

1. waves goodbye to his bath water/ toys when he's finished with his bath.
2. dips his chicken nuggets in ketchup
3. puts my headbands on his head and runs away giggling.
4. sees a dog and says "dah!" (thats his "dog")
5. can effectively climb onto the couch and also get off without hurting himself! yay!

A Note To Sammy....

Dear Samuel,
Sorry I havent kept up with the blog much, little buddy. But I just remembered I had it because my best friend Megan is having a baby!!! (hence, I was looking for info on you!). Anyway... You're getting so big!! I wanted to start remembering things about you so I could look back at it when you are older and show you what you were like. Do you like this picture above? You're a chubby little monster.. but so sweet.

You are almost 14 months old now!!

You started walking a few months ago, and you are really getting the hang of it! The only thing is, you tend to trip alot. (see the bruise on your forehead?...poor guy!) Other than that, you are into everything you can get your hands on. Your favorite things are pulling on my fake tree, and trying to turn off the TV no matter how many times mommy says "No No Sammy!".. you usually look at me and laugh... you find it funny. Sometimes I think its funny, unless my favorite show is on, then I think its not that cool.

You're also eating big people food! But, like your mom, you are extremely picky. Your favorite foods right now are crackers, cheese, melon, strawberry, bread, and bananas. Not the most nutritional diet, but hopefully that will turn around soon :)

I wish I knew what was going on in that little baby brain of yours... I want to know what you're thinking when you put your forehead on mine and give me a really serious, but sweet, look. I hope it means that you love me. I sure do love you.

You know my favorite part about today so far? That even though you weren't feeling well this morning, the only thing that made you fall asleep was when I took you to bed with me and cuddled all night. I got no sleep, but I hope you did. You were so sweet the way you cuddled up to me and put your arms in mine. I love that.

7 months old.. my how time flies!

Samuel Carter Bradley... obviously he's here!! I cant believe I haven't updated this blog since he's been born... Life has been a whirlwind, to say the least. Most of you already know how much he weighed, what he looked like etc via Facebook.. but I thought this would be a good way to keep track of all the new things he is doing!

So thats all for now. I will post an actual update of him later when Im home and he is napping! But for now... isn't my new design so cute?! love that chubby smile!!

Week 30 Here we COOOOME!!!

Allllllright!!! Im baaaaack (above picture is my moose-ness to date). Its been like a month or something and some people are beginning to act like they miss this thing (*cough--mom--cough*) Soooo here we go.

Im one day away from being 30 weeks prego... suh-weet!!! It feels like just yesterday that I was 10 weeks with 30 to go! Now its down to the wire and Im supposed to be gaining like a pound a week.. which is pretty sick considering Ive already gained 30... yep... 30 whoppers. And Im publicly displaying that number on my blog... Not sure why... Anyway.. the baby only weighs 3 pounds of that 30 so where the rest of it went--Ill never know. I wish I could say he weighed like 10 by now, but truth is, he's a tiny little tyke and most of my weight is probably cushioned deep into my big ol thighs and butt. And my cheeks.... my face is starting to get a little chubby too.. which they all said would happen, Im just bummed its happening already!!

How your baby's growing:Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means he can only make out objects a few inches from his face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

Also noted: it feels like a SNAKE in there. I literally felt a foot pop out, pushed it back and he pushed it BACK out. He's a rebel already :) I smell a teen with tattoos on the way... hehe jk people.. He will be an upstanding citizen who abides by the law... hehe...

And this might be weird, but I like to look up what babies look like at 30 weeks in the womb, just to get an idea... so this is what I found... cute little chubby face already!!

So yeah, I know thats kind of weird, but Im sort of obsessed with google and google-image.

update!!

hello people!!

So, this is a picture of my friend chelsea and I. We are both due in December..shes due on the 17th and I, of course, on the 31st! As you can see our bellies are pretty close in size...which either means shes little or I'm a big giant elephant..depending on who you ask!! We recently had a nice trip up to her family lake house on wawasee. It was a great time. I didnt catch any fish--booo. BUT, I did win the Euchre tournament with her boyfriend Dave... bad news is that now her grandma doesnt like me... she was more competitive than I am, if you can imagine that. And I think us winning pissed her off. hahaha... old ladies are so funny. Chelsea told me later that her grandma called and said "I dont like your friend.. she cheats in Euchre. Theres no way she could have won... Ive been playing Euchre for years and I never lose." Lol!! And she was SERIOUS. She really doesnt like me now!! haha.... ah well... cant please everyone!

We also took the boys tubing. They did a good job and we were jealous that we were prego and couldnt do it too... Next summer we decided that its all about us girls.. the boys can watch the babies while we go play in the water...

Anyway... in other news... work kind of sucks... how bout your job? I really dont HATE what I do, I just seriously dislike it most days... if any of you have any other grand ideas about something i could do once the baby is born--Id be one big listening ear to your suggestions... Id give anything not to go back after the baby is here.. not just because i have a serious distaste for sales in this industry, but also because I really dont want someone else to raise my kid for me... woof. Unfortunately, my expertise lies only in waiting tables and selling contracts to broke poets... not a big resume if you know what Im saying...so my options are limited. I need good ideas. I wish I could get paid to blog and google things... Id be rich.

Ps. The nameless little boy in my belly is doing quite well. Kicking me all the time..mostly at night when Im relaxed...probably a precursor of whats to come :) I get tested for gestational diabetes at my next appointment on October 1st. eek. And the one after THAT is another cool ultrasound pic!! sweeeeet.
