Week 30 Here we COOOOME!!!

Allllllright!!! Im baaaaack (above picture is my moose-ness to date). Its been like a month or something and some people are beginning to act like they miss this thing (*cough--mom--cough*) Soooo here we go.

Im one day away from being 30 weeks prego... suh-weet!!! It feels like just yesterday that I was 10 weeks with 30 to go! Now its down to the wire and Im supposed to be gaining like a pound a week.. which is pretty sick considering Ive already gained 30... yep... 30 whoppers. And Im publicly displaying that number on my blog... Not sure why... Anyway.. the baby only weighs 3 pounds of that 30 so where the rest of it went--Ill never know. I wish I could say he weighed like 10 by now, but truth is, he's a tiny little tyke and most of my weight is probably cushioned deep into my big ol thighs and butt. And my cheeks.... my face is starting to get a little chubby too.. which they all said would happen, Im just bummed its happening already!!

Here is what BabyCenter.com has to say about week 30

How your baby's growing:Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means he can only make out objects a few inches from his face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)
Also noted: it feels like a SNAKE in there. I literally felt a foot pop out, pushed it back and he pushed it BACK out. He's a rebel already :) I smell a teen with tattoos on the way... hehe jk people.. He will be an upstanding citizen who abides by the law... hehe...

And this might be weird, but I like to look up what babies look like at 30 weeks in the womb, just to get an idea... so this is what I found... cute little chubby face already!!

So yeah, I know thats kind of weird, but Im sort of obsessed with google and google-image.

Here are some current belly pics if you are interested:
my cousin who is about to POP, my brothers girl Tiffanie and her little bump and ME! :) Its grown a bit since then, and that was only a month ago... see below...

YIIIIIIKES!!!!!!!!!!! Im stealin pumpkins under that sweater, thats all that is :)

i... feel.. .HUGE.

the sides of my body feel like they are being pulled into space with invisible string... (i.e. my skin is stretching and it feels funny.)

somebody make it STOP.

does coco butter really help? am I not a real woman because i dont lather up on lotion after I shower? this is what I heard at work today and it was alarming...

everyone i know is having babies it seems like. And theyre all boys. And all of them have names except for mine. LAME.

oh yeah... Dear Heartburn: I HATE YOU.

update!!

hello people!!
So, this is a picture of my friend chelsea and I. We are both due in December..shes due on the 17th and I, of course, on the 31st! As you can see our bellies are pretty close in size...which either means shes little or I'm a big giant elephant..depending on who you ask!! We recently had a nice trip up to her family lake house on wawasee. It was a great time. I didnt catch any fish--booo. BUT, I did win the Euchre tournament with her boyfriend Dave... bad news is that now her grandma doesnt like me... she was more competitive than I am, if you can imagine that. And I think us winning pissed her off. hahaha... old ladies are so funny. Chelsea told me later that her grandma called and said "I dont like your friend.. she cheats in Euchre. Theres no way she could have won... Ive been playing Euchre for years and I never lose." Lol!! And she was SERIOUS. She really doesnt like me now!! haha.... ah well... cant please everyone!

We also took the boys tubing. They did a good job and we were jealous that we were prego and couldnt do it too... Next summer we decided that its all about us girls.. the boys can watch the babies while we go play in the water...

Anyway... in other news... work kind of sucks... how bout your job? I really dont HATE what I do, I just seriously dislike it most days... if any of you have any other grand ideas about something i could do once the baby is born--Id be one big listening ear to your suggestions... Id give anything not to go back after the baby is here.. not just because i have a serious distaste for sales in this industry, but also because I really dont want someone else to raise my kid for me... woof. Unfortunately, my expertise lies only in waiting tables and selling contracts to broke poets... not a big resume if you know what Im saying...so my options are limited. I need good ideas. I wish I could get paid to blog and google things... Id be rich.
Ps. The nameless little boy in my belly is doing quite well. Kicking me all the time..mostly at night when Im relaxed...probably a precursor of whats to come :) I get tested for gestational diabetes at my next appointment on October 1st. eek. And the one after THAT is another cool ultrasound pic!! sweeeeet.

Ask, and you shall receive!!

Helloooooo blog reader people!!! Well, E asked for an update, so even though she might be the only one reading this (hey girl heeyyy!), if you ask for it, youll get it!! So here it is!! So, Ive been up to lots of stuff the last few weeks! Above are pictures from my friends bday party. The cute little baby boy is him and his wifes son, Mason. I love this kid! He's got the cutest little cheeks!! And it was GREAT seeing my awesome friends again. I dont see NEARLY enough of them!! They always ensure a great time, so that was really nice!! As you can see, Im beginning to look like a weeee bit of a weeble wobble... I feel like I could topple over! My stomach is shooting straight out and kind of look alienish... and Im sure my butt is getting bigger too, but we'll ignore that for now. As long as my face doesnt get fat, I think Ill be able to handle this whole weight gain. Im just petrified of having multiple chins... I know Ive got four months to go, so its a great possibility that I will welcome more chins in the near future, but right now, Im happy with where Im at! haha!
So, for those of you that havent seen me in the last couple weeks, here are some updated belly pics. I look like a ham because I took them myself since Josh was at work.. but hey, I gotta give the readers what they ask for, right? :) I promise Im not TOTALLY in love with myself and taking pictures of myself...well..maybe I am.. but regardless, you wanted to see some belly pics so I had a little fun with it and here they are!! Plus, I found a really cool new photo editor thing that Ive been messing around with so it was kind of fun to use that tonight! woo!

(this is my "Im really scared of whats growing in there" face)

(my belly button will be poppin out in no time... ew)

cant forget my signature pose even if i am pregnant! haha!

ta da!! hope you enjoyed :)

boom boom blue

I know these are some pretty classy pics... especially the one in the middle!! But, its belly time!!! 20 weeks and 2 days, this is how big its gotten since the last time you saw pics.. I dont know who exactly Im talking to in these posts since Im not sure if anyone even looks at this anymore (I know its been awhile... sorryyyys)... But we had our 20 week ultrasound and we now know...
that its a BOY!!!!
I couldnt take it, I had to know. I suck the mystery out of life--oh well... it was driving me nuts! And now Im happy to report we have a bouncing baby boy in there.. and he for sure is a bouncer. The little sucker moves all the time.. but for some reason cant figure out to move OFF of my bladder... he's stubborn already just like his mama... I tried to find an ultrasound pic on google of what ours looked like, but my computer has mega viruses and google is being a butthole so it wont let me look at anything... but its pretty darn cute. We got 3D pictures that just take my breath away.. I can see his little face and everything. He even yawned during the ultrasound!! creeeepy but so cool!!
So depressingly, Ive gained like 12 pounds total already... grooosssss.... i think i was only spose to gain 10. woops. i blame it on my bladder being full for the ultrasound but its probably because i eat too much ice-cream. whatever...
Anyway, thats the update. Things are going pretty good... life gets interesting when you have a baby thats for sure!

goat looking humans, rafting and BABY!

Hey everyone!!

Thanks to everyone who responded to the last post :) I like to know people are reading and Im not just writing for my own vanity and just to hear myself talk! ha! Aaaanyway.. we just got back from a great weekend in Michigan. It had been a few months since Id been there and Josh hadnt been back since he moved, so we spent three days up there just seeing his family and friends! It was awesome. We took Piper (say whaaaat?!) and she was actually not that bad!! Huge Thank you to Kathy for letting Piper stay the night and not being too mad when she dug a few holes around a tree :) eeek. Overall she did pretty well.. and we were so lucky she could stay there and we could toodle around and go visit friends and family and whatnot.. Phew! AND I got some cuuuute maternity clothes thanks to his sister.. God BLESS you alli. I was getting tired of wearing my one pair of pants that fit.

So we spent all day sunday on a river in some big rafts. It rained for a little bit and was a little chilly, but it really was a good time. And we also went to the Marne fair. Which, for my Indiana friends, its kind of like going to the Peru fair, only it also had some animal farm thing :) haha.. Its umm... small... but it was still good because my fat butt hadnt had an elephant ear in a couple years and I like to think my baby was rubbing its belly and saying "thanks mom!" It was pretty yum. But yeah, the animals= sick nasty. See the picture of that goat thing at the top? Looks like an alien/human/goat. SICK.

So thats whats up with us! Now next weekend we get to spend it with my fam in ktown for my mama's birthday and get some good home cookin' on the grill... so excited for that :) And then I move the weekend after that to a new place FINALLY.. So we can start painting and getting baby stuff in the baby room :) How fun!

This week marks week 17. Un. be.lievable. For the past five days or so Ive felt the baby move at least twice every single day. Its wild... it feels like popcorn in there sometimes... haha. She/He is about 5 inches now. And now I will paste in some info/pictures from babycenter.com so you can see whats REALLY going on. I tend to ramble.

(This is a 3D picture of a baby in the womb at 17 weeks...according to google images)

Your baby during week 17 is now very mobile, gleefully moving his joints here, there and everywhere and will continue to do so as you continue your pregnancy week by week. The cartilage making up the skeleton in your baby's body is starting to transform into bone. At pregnancy 17 weeks time your baby should be hearing things. Your baby will start putting on some layers of fat in the weeks to come, though at this point in time your baby is made up of primarily water.

Cutie patootie isnt it? :)

super fun!

Hello Blog reader people!!

How are you? Good? Great. So are we! (ps feel free to comment so I know who's reading, and tell me what YOU were up to this weekend!) :) Josh and I had a fun weekend! Sunday we went and tried out a Catholic Mass at a church semi-down town. It was GORGEOUS.. absolutely huge inside and beautiful... kind of bad lighting, meaning, there wasnt much lighting at all.. but pretty beautiful regardless... Then we went and got some sandwhiches on the circle downtown and sat on the monument steps and took pictures... we did the whole asian-tourist thing and took pictures of each other and made passerbys take our picture too... haha... youd think we were from another state for sure... but its something neither one of us had done before and I had a dress on for once, so I thought..well what the heck...

Josh started his new job at the brew ha-ha last week and today was his first day of non-training.. so he was pretty happy to get back to serving and make some money while we continue to dream up ways to make money on Ebay and whatnot... I think with his work ethic and my ability to swoon people, we could be billionaires someday :) haha. Anyway, Im really grateful and happy to have him here and we are having a blast...

Im doing pretty much the same stuff Ive been doing... Only now Im being taught how to cook a lot more than I used to...and how to keep the carpets clean :) haha.. Work is going okay...still hoping that someday I can do something more meaningful than try to convince people to publish their crap... but very blessed to have a job with insurance right now, so I should stop complaining...

Piper is... being Piper.... only better by like a hundred. Josh has that dumb dog so trained its sick. She still looks at me and flips me off in her mind, I think... but at least she is listening to SOME one.. there is hope for her yet.

Soooo we are now in week 16 of the pregnancy... thats 4 months.. holy smokes... cant even believe it... i feel like i say that every post, so i promise next time i wont.. but WOW. we had our last doc. appt last friday and the heartbeat was 154 and everything was swell. The next appointment is August 7th where we COULD find out the sex of the baby.. *ahem*... but we arent :) so the cool thing is though that we will get to see some REALLY great ultrasound pictures and even ones in 3D..which will totally freak me out but will be cool to have... So, heres whats up with baby.. (thanks to babycenter.com for the info--otherwise by the looks of me id think the baby was the size of a house right now)

Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.

Oh and for my girlfriends reading this, it was great to see you guys:)

Hooray for week 14!!

How your baby's growing:This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb.

We finally hit the second trimester! Should be the safetey zone... which feels really good. Our 15 wk appointment is next friday, which means Im 14 weeks and 2 days today! Time is flyyyying. Its so crazy. Ive developed a teeny baby bump... which to me feels enormous but...you'll see...its not. hehe :)

Its pretty crazy how fast time is going... Ill be moving into a new apartment at the end of the month that has two bedrooms so I can start tucking away all this baby stuff Ive already received from people. My entire closet here at this apartment is already packed FULL of stuff! Its awesome! Now I just need some baby dressers to put it all in and we'll be good to go!

Ive still not had any bad symptoms... a few crazy dreams here and there, restless leg syndrome (thanks Dad), and a weird craving for Italian dressing... but thats about it!

In other news, Josh is all moved to Indy and it has been SO much fun! We went to an Indians game the other night, and heres a pic of that... Some very nice stranger took that for us! haha.

Thats all for now. One more time, week 15 appointment is next friday at 8:15 (why did I do that?) so I'll let you know how that goes!!
Peace and love.

week 12 already? yiiiiikes

Hard to believe we are in Week 12 already... I dont think my pants want to be my friend anymore because they are having a hard time not suffocating my waist... ugh. Anyway, I heard the heartbeat again last friday at my 2nd appointment. Loud and clear and nice and strong! 165 or something a minute, which doc said was great! So thats good news :) If I would have had an ultra sound at 12 wks, the picture above is what it would look like right now... definitely more like a baby than my first picture which looked like a little lima bean :) ... So heres whats up with the nugget:

The body is now straighter and the first bone tissue appears. The face is formed with a chin, high forehead and small button nose. The eyes are developed and although they are shut tight with sealed eyelids, they now show reflexive movements. The ears are visible but are still small.
The tiny brain is now forming neural pathways and the fetus is starting to squirm around, although you can't feel it yet because there is still a high proportion of amniotic fluid all around it.
The arms and legs can move freely and if you have a scan (see video clip example below) at this stage you may actually see them moving, which is really exciting! The skin is still permeable to amniotic fluid. The nails on the fingers and toes are starting to grow and if the palm is touched, the fingers will curl.

Nothing new with me really... feeling pretty good! Just fatter and I get sleepy easier... probably since Im not sucking down the diet coke or Monster energy drinks anymore (boooooo). And my bathing suit-- NEVER putting that sucker on again... at least not for a very long time. Its now time for me to switch to the tankini to hide my fat stomach... haha... depressing... Im glad summer is here though.. more time to play on boats and beaches with my friends and less time sitting inside watching reality tv... maybe. Except for the Bachelorette and Jon and Kate plus 8. God help me if I ever have 8 kids like she does... I dont want to turn into a raging-you-know-what like she is... eeeeeek.

Ok thats all folks... does anyone even read this anymore or what? :)

week 9!

I STILL CANT BELIEVE WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!! gee whiz....

So today marks week NINE already. Time is FLYING. Im slowly starting to not look online anymore at peoples stories about bad things happening because it was really giving me anxiety. So now Im just relaxing and hoping everything is healthy and happy in there.

Here is what the little bean is up to:

The embryo measures about 0.9 inches to 1.2 inches from crown to rump, or the size of a strawberry. The arms and legs are longer, and the fingers might be a little swollen where the touch pads are forming. The head is more erect and neck is more developed. Your baby now moves its body and limbs, and this movement can be visible during an ultrasound, but you won't be able to feel it yet.

craaaazy. the size of a strawberry already... i swear it was just the size of my fingernail the last I knew!

YIKES!!! That looks kinda creepy Im not gonna lie, but apparently thats what it looks like right about now...

...aaaand we have a heart beat!!

Ok, so this isnt EXACTLY what Baby Bradley looks like, but its the closest I could find to my actual ultrasound picture. Location and everything looks JUST like this picture, its just not actually MY photo...My scanner is bogus.

Anyway! So we went for the first ultrasound on Thursday and got all in place, and by golly as soon as she turned the corner to my uterus (sick) there was baby!!! I couldnt even believe it. Clear as day. I half expected for her not to be there for some reason...it felt way too real in that moment... baby was totally just chillaxin, looking like a little lima bean... so cute. And then nurse whats-her-face turned the sound on and BOOM...heart beat!! 134 beats per minute... said she/he looks totally healthy!! It was the weirdest moment of my entire life, and probably the happiest moment of my entire life to be honest... I thought for sure Id cry but I didnt...I just sat there in shock, not believing that was in my belly...

So there ya have it... baby is lookin good!

5 weeks...

Hey!
I started a blog about this crazy baby in my belly. Due to calculations via the nurse, Baby Bradley (otherwise known as Peanut) will be due sometime around Decemeber 30, 2009.... My first ultra sound is scheduled for May 14th where Ill be around 7 weeks prego... super scary. And just as an fyi, if we do end up finding out the sex of the baby, it will be a surprise to you all. We are going to wait until its born to share the news of what we're having :) sorrrryyyy....

Really at this point, Im doing pretty well! Im trying to teach myself the art of self control by not googling everything about pregnancy and miscarriage and statistics... Not good for the anxiety.

So far, no big symptoms... no puking.... just really tired and constantly hungry. No weird cravings though. Im pretty sure Josh eats more pickles than I do at this point :)

Anyway, we know that in the order of things, this isnt exactly what we had planned... but we also know that babies are gifts from God, and we couldnt be happier that He is entrusting us with this huge responsibility... Thanks for the prayers and check back for updates! :) And feel free to post with name suggestions, tips, pointers, feedback, etc... we love it!

much love to you.
